For Asian Heritage Month, the Asian Canadian Labour Alliance organized a large delegation of participants to attend the documentary screening of “A Time To Rise” at Hot Docs Festival in Toronto on May 3, 2022. The nearly sold out event featured a discussion afterwards with Director Anand Patwardhan, moderated by Ali Kazimi.

Our community partners mobilized to attend including J4MW, IAVGO, and IWA4Justice to learn critical historical lessons on organizing farmworkers. A special thank you to CUPE National, PSAC Ontario, Unifor, and OPSEU for supporting the event.
